This is a skeleton tote bag I made for the coming Halloween season. I made this tote bag with a burgandy lining, unlike some of my other totes. It's for sale, here.

Organizational Tool Roll

Happy Friday Everyone!

This is a cute little tool roll I made. It's about 14 x 14 and made out of a sturdy cow fabric. The nice thing about this roll is that it is 100% washable in case you use paintbrushes etc. It's for sale here.

Drawstring Backpack

This is a cute little drawstring backpack that I attempted today. It's a Lotta Jansdotter pattern out of her fantastic book called Simple Sewing. I used a cream double-sided quilted fabric for the main body of the bag. A fun red plaid is used for the pocket and straps. It's for sale here.

New Project

I have been doing some thinking about the holidays...what can I make for my etsy shop. There are not a lot of holiday items on there yet, so I want to be the first with some cool things. I know it's only the middle of September, but I'm a planner, what can I say? Here is something I have been working on...an organza gift bag. I know they are so common, especially for weddings, but I plan to use beautiful holiday ribbon and maybe even some fun thread (I just tried using red and green thread at the same time - still deciding if it's cool). I don't want to get to extravagant, so that I can keep the cost low...since after all it is only a gift bag.

On another note, I am considering holiday stockings for etsy. Any thoughts?

More Fall Leaves

This is a fall leaves Bible Tote Bag. This tote measures 10 x 14, so a Bible and small notebooks or books would fit perfectly. Of course, tote bags are useful for all sorts of things. It's for sale here.

Vintage Shabby Chic Pillow Set

Here is another pillow set. I call this one Vintage Shabby Chic after much contemplation and a long chat with my good friend KT, who so kindly let me shoot these photos at her cute condo. It is a sort of mixture of styles, not quite country but with the worn look of the red stripe, vintage seems like a good word. Anyway, they are for sale here...

Elegant Traditional Pillow Set

This is a new idea I am trying...a pillow set. Sometimes it's very hard to choose the right pillow for your couch our bed, especially one that is the right size, color, texture etc. to match the other pillows you have chosen. This is a solution. A pillow set in 3 coordinating fabrics, 3 different sizes - all matching. The pillows come to you ready to take out of the box directly onto your couch or pillow - so easy! They are for sale, here.

I am calling this particular set Elegant Traditional. The large sage green pillow measures 17 x 17 and is made using an envelope enclosure for easy cleaning care. The rust pillow measures 14 x 14 and the smaller oblong pillow measures 16 x 7. The smaller one incorporates the sage green and rust swirl pattern to make the set more cohesive. All of the fabric is the same type of silk.
